Ian Hardman is a senior HMI. He is a qualified teacher and, prior to working for Ofsted, was a headteacher for eight years in two different primary schools; one small and one very large. He has particular experience in leading schools out of categories of concern. He has further experience of developing leadership capacity, including governance, improving the quality of teaching and learning and overall school improvement. Ian is also trained in and has experience of inspecting independent schools and special schools, having completed enhanced SEND training. He has been subject to enhanced DBS disclosures.
